Kuna combines fast-growing subdivisions with rural acreage south of the valley. Newer homes may have clear roof planes, while larger parcels can provide room for a ground mount when the roof is shaded or poorly oriented.
We compare roof space, open land, trenching and electrical access before recommending a layout. A ground mount is considered only when it fits the property and local requirements.
Open areas around Kuna can receive strong wind. Racking, roof attachments and structural details are specified for the site rather than copied from a sheltered neighborhood design.
Hail and wind can also damage roofing before obvious leaks appear. We inspect the roof first and can manage repair or replacement with solar as one coordinated project.
Newer Idaho Power customers are on net billing. Export credits are about 15.68 cents during summer on-peak hours from June through September, 3 to 11 p.m., Monday through Saturday, 3.39 cents during other summer hours and 2.90 cents from October to May.
The rates were set in fall 2025, and the next update is not expected until 2028. We size around household use and battery goals so the design does not depend on unnecessary exports.
